Chicken 'N Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. fryer
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. hot water (warm as hand will stand)
    4 c. sifted self-rising flour
Preparation
    Boil fryer until tender with butter, salt and pepper.
    Make stiff dough of water and flour.
    Knead until ready to roll.
    Roll thin.
    Flour and let stand for 10 minutes.
    Then roll again.
    With chicken at full boil, drop dumplings in and push down with a fork. Do not stir.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Cut off heat and let stand until ready to serve.
