Fresh Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    3 lb. fresh ripe peaches
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and water in a heavy saucepan; stir well.
    Peel and slice peaches; add to sugar mixture.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
    Cool; stir in almond extract.
    Pour in baked pastry shell.
    Chill and serve.
