Economical Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add eggs, beating well. Then add flavoring.
    Add milk, alternating with flour.
    Beat well. Pour into greased and floured pans.
    Bake in moderate oven.
    This makes a two layer cake.
    Use your favorite icing.
