Creamy Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
    1/3 c. finely chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together into a bowl. Add brown sugar, shortening and 3/4 cup milk.
    Mix enough to dampen flour, beat 2 minutes (if using electric mixer, use low speed). Add eggs, 1/4 cup milk, flavoring, nuts and beat 1 minute.
    Bake in 2 greased 8-inch layer cake pans in 375\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
