Fried Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon
    20 oz. frozen green beans or fresh green beans
    1 large onion, diced
    salt
    pepper
    approximately 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Cut up bacon in pieces and fry.
    Drain off most of the grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in skillet.
    Add green beans and diced onion.
    Let cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
    Add water and cover.
    Let simmer over low heat, about an hour, stirring about every 15 minutes.
    Remove lid and let brown a little before serving.
    Salt and pepper as desired.
