Gramma'S Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening (don't substitute butter or margarine)
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add molasses and egg; beat well. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well.
Roll in 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
They are done when they are no longer \"puffed\" and the cracks appear dry.
