Braised Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak (1-inch thick)
2 Tbsp. dried bread crumbs
1 to 2 tsp. salt to taste
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
8 oz. can stewed tomatoes
2 medium, thinly sliced onions
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 clove crushed garlic
Preparation

Pat steak with damp paper towel to remove excess liquid. Combine bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
Place steak on wooden board; sprinkle with half bread crumb mixture and pound with wooden mallet.
Repeat on other side; cut into 6 pieces.
Melt butter in Dutch oven.
Brown meat over medium heat.
Add tomatoes, onions, Worcestershire sauce, celery and garlic; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 hours.
