German Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    1/2 lb. mild sausage
    1 c. white rice, cooked
    1 onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
    1 head cabbage
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cabbage, tomato sauce and water together; make small balls.
    Separate cabbage leaves and place in boiling water to soften.
    Place one ball of meat in center of cabbage leaf; roll and secure with toothpick.
    Place in Dutch oven; add tomato sauce and water.
    Bring to boil and simmer about 1 1/2 hours.
    Skim off fat as it is cooking.
