Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    cinnamon/sugar mix
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Blend in flour, tartar, soda and salt.
    Chill dough 2 hours.
    Roll into small balls.
    Roll balls into a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until they are light brown.
    Makes about 2 dozen.
