Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter, creamed
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Blend all ingredients; chill dough.
Roll thin and slice. Bake in moderate oven.
