Fudge Sundae Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. evaporated milk
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 c.)
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/4 tsp. salt
    vanilla wafers
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
    whole pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Put milk, chocolate morsels, marshmallows and salt into a heavy 1-quart saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat until chocolate and marshmallows melt completely and mixture thickens.
    Take off heat. Cool to room temperature.
    Line bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan with vanilla wafers.
    Spoon half of 1 quart vanilla ice cream over the wafers.
    Cover with half of chocolate mixture.
    Place whole nuts on top.
    Freeze until firm, 3 to 5 hours.
