Chicken In A Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1/4 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
    1/4 tsp. celery salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (3 lb.) whole broiler-fryer chicken
Preparation
    Combine salt, thyme, marjoram, celery salt and pepper.
    Rub chicken with seasonings.
    Rub cavity of bird with additional salt. Skewer neck skin to back.
    Tie legs to tail; twist wings under back.
    Place chicken in pot, breast side up.
    Cover tightly; place in unheated oven.
    Turn oven to 400\u00b0 and bake until chicken is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
