Bread And Butter Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small loaf bread
    butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 qt. milk
Preparation
    Spread slices generously with butter.
    Arrange in buttered dish with buttered side down.
    Beat eggs slightly.
    Add sugar, salt and milk.
    Strain and pour over bread.
    Let stand 30 minutes. Bake one hour in slow oven.
    Cover the first half hour of baking. The top of pudding should be well browned.
