Ravishing Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. medium or hot sausage
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. raw rice (not instant)
    2 envelopes chicken noodle soup mix (dry)
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    4 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook rice and soup mix in boiling water for 7 minutes.
    Do not drain.
    Cook sausage in skillet, separating with a fork; drain. Add sausage, celery, onion and pepper to rice; mix well.
    Pour into greased casserole.
    Top with almonds.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
