Ingredients

1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. molasses
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 egg
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Heat honey and molasses to boiling.
Cool completely.
Mix sugar, lemon peel and juice and egg.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Roll dough 1/4-inch thick on floured cloth.
Cut into rectangles 1 1/2 x 2 1/2-inches or cut with cookie cutter.
Place 1-inch apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
