Cranberry Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fresh cranberries
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. sour milk (I use regular milk and add 1 tsp. vinegar)
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Combine first 2 ingredients.
    Sift flour, salt, soda and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Mix egg, milk and shortening.
    Add to dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
    Add cranberry mixture and combine slightly.
    Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
