Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 beaten egg
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    4 c. white flour
Preparation
    Scald milk and cool slightly.
    Add shortening, salt and brown sugar and stir.
    When lukewarm, add egg and yeast, which has been dissolved in the 1/2 cup warm water.
    Add whole wheat flour and white flour and mix until all flour is moistened.
    Let dough rest 5 minutes.
    Knead bread for 10 minutes.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down and let rise again.
    Form into 2 loaves or dinner rolls.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
