Mom Stephen'S Wild Rice And Crab Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. wild rice, rinsed well and drained
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sherry vinegar
    1/4 c. peanut oil
    6 oz. (1 c.) lump crab
    2 scallions, sliced thin or diagonal
    1/4 c. water chestnuts, blanched 5 minutes, sliced thin and dried
    2 oz. snow peas, blanched 10 seconds and cooled
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine wild rice, salt and 1 1/2 cups water. Simmer, covered, 35 to 45 minutes, until rice is tender.
    Drain, if necessary.
    Let rice cool 15 minutes.
