Catfish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. catfish
    3 potatoes (medium)
    1 large onion
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 large can tomato juice or V-8
    4 slices bacon
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 tsp. red cayenne pepper or 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce (optional)
Preparation
    Cut up bacon and fry in bottom of large pot.
    Add onion.
    Cook until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer until potatoes are soft, 30 to 45 minutes.
