Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Cream together margarine and Crisco; add sugar and vanilla and cream thoroughly.
Add egg and cream until mixture is fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients until mixture is smooth.
Blend in milk.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 12 minutes. Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
If you prefer a soft cookie, use whipped margarine instead of Crisco and margarine.
