Sue'S Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon
    1 medium onion
    3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    1/2 c. water
    2 1/4 c. milk
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 tsp. salt
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry bacon in a Dutch oven until crisp.
    Remove bacon and reserve 3 tablespoons drippings in Dutch oven.
    Crumble bacon and set aside.
    Saute onion in reserved drippings until tender, then add potatoes and water.
    Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are done.
    Stir in milk, corn, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently.
    Sprinkle each serving with crumbled bacon.
