Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) tomatoes, cut up
1 (8 oz.) (1 c.) tomato sauce
1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) dark red kidney beans, drained
1 tsp. salt
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1 bay leaf
Preparation

In heavy skillet, cook meat, onion and green pepper until meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Before serving, remove bay leaf.
Makes 4 serving.
Adding thin spaghetti is also good.
