Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 sliced potatoes
    2 onions, sliced
    2 c. asparagus (fresh)
    4 slices cheese (American)
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Grease a glass casserole dish and put a layer of potatoes, layer of onions and layer of asparagus.
    Dot with butter; repeat each layer until all is used.
    Bake for 45 minutes at 325\u00b0, covered.
    Uncover and lay cheese on top.
    Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted and browned, approximately 10 minutes more.
