New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium onions, chopped
    6 medium potatoes, chopped and peeled
    5 cans minced clams
    1 pkg. salt pork
    1/2 stick butter
    1 pt. light cream
    2 c. milk
    1 pkg. scallions
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 c. celery
    parsley
Preparation
    Cook salt pork; drain.
    Reserve liquid.
    Combine onions, celery, scallions, olive oil and butter.
    Cook until onions are translucent.
    Add potatoes and clams with their juice.
    Cover with water.
    Cook potatoes.
    Add cream and milk and garnish with parsley and salt pork.
