Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hash browns
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    8 oz. sour cream
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 large onion, chopped (optional)
    salt and pepper (optional)
    1 stick butter, melted
    3 c. corn flakes
Preparation
    Rinse frozen hash browns. Mix hash browns, soup, sour cream, cheese, onion, 6 tablespoons melted butter, salt and pepper. Spread in 4-quart baking dish. Mix 2 tablespoons melted butter and corn flakes. Spread on top of other mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
