Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 slices white bread
3 1/2 c. milk
5 eggs, well beaten
1 lb. fresh mild sausage
1/2 lb. grated cheese (Cheddar)

Preparation

Saute sausage; drain.
Butter bread on one side.
Arrange 6 slices, buttered side up, in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Cover bread with half of sausage and half of cheese.
Beat eggs and milk together and cover cheese with half of egg mixture.
Repeat layers, first beginning with bread and ending with egg mixture. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour, uncovered.
Can be prepared the night before serving and refrigerated overnight.
