Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. water
    4 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    6 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt in medium bowl, reserving 1/2 cup sugar.
    Heat water to boiling in medium size pan.
    Lower heat.
    Add sugar mixture, stirring constantly for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Beat egg yolks slightly in small bowl.
    Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar mixture.
    Stir back into mixture in pan and cook for 3 minutes.
    Remove and cool.
    Stir in lemon rind, juice and butter.
    Beat egg whites and lemon extract.
    Add reserved sugar, one tablespoon at a time until it stands in peaks. Put filling in crust.
    Put egg white mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Cool completely.
