Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large fryer
    4 c. flour
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. fat
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Salt and pepper inside dressed poultry.
    Then boil in enough water to cover and cook until tender.
    Be sure to have at least 3 cups of water remaining after poultry has cooked.
    If less than this remains, add enough hot water to make up the difference.
    Add 1/4 cup butter.
