Spareribs With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. spareribs, cut in serving size
    2 tsp. salt
    1 can sauerkraut (3 1/2 c.)
    1 unpared tart apple, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. tomato juice
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 to 3 tsp. caraway seed
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 medium carrots, shredded
Preparation
    Season ribs with salt and pepper.
    Place in Dutch oven. Combine kraut (including liquid) with remaining ingredients and spoon over ribs.
    Bake, covered, in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours or until ribs are done.
    Serves 4 to 6.
