Frosting For Fresh Grapefruit Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. fresh grapefruit juice
1 Tbsp. grated peel
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cook together sugar, egg whites, corn syrup, salt and juice for 7 minutes or until stiff peaks.
Remove from heat.
Add grapefruit peel and vanilla.
Beat 1 to 2 minutes, until frosting is thick enough to spread.
