Orange Glaze Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium yams
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar packed
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. orange juice
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. sherry or lemon juice
3 Tbsp. walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Cook yams until tender.
Peel and quarter lengthwise.
Arrange in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and sprinkle with salt.
Combine sugar and cornstarch.
Stir in orange juice and raisins.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and cook until thick.
Add butter, walnuts and sherry or lemon juice.
Pour over yams.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
