Buttermilk Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 stick butter
    2 tsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla (or to taste)
    1 uncooked pie shell
Preparation
    Soften butter.
    Beat eggs until blended and combine with sugar and flour.
    Mix butter, egg mixture and buttermilk.
    Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until knife stuck in the middle comes out clean.
    (Cook empty pie shell for 4 or 5 minutes so the bottom won't be soggy.)
