Strawberry Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 baked pie shells
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cold water
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 small pkg. strawberry jello
Preparation
    Wash strawberries; cut in small pieces if they are large. Spread in shells.
    Mix cornstarch and sugar.
    Add water and cook over low heat until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
    Set aside just to cool briefly.
    Add jello to this mixture.
    Pour over strawberries evenly.
    Chill.
    Serve with whip cream or ice cream.
