Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. rice
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring milk to a
    boil;
    add
    rice and sugar.
    Cook over low heat until done, 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.
    Stir occasionally. While that is
    cooking,
    in another bowl, beat egg yolks, beat egg whites and
    set
    aside.
    Remove
    rice
    mixture
    from stove; add egg yolks and vanilla.
    Return to low heat until it bubbles and thickens.
    Fold
    in
    egg
    whites;
    cook
    until egg whites are all folded in.
    Transfer to another bowl.
