Ingredients

baked 9-inch pastry shell
1 1/2 qt. fresh strawberries, washed and drained
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. butter
red food coloring
Preparation
-
Crush 1/2 quart berries and combine with water, sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.
Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
Add butter and food coloring.
