Lye Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 lb. grease or fat, melted
1 can lye
2 1/2 pt. hot water

Preparation

Dissolve lye in hot water; let cool.
Then pour lye solution slowly into melted fat.
Stir until pretty cool.
Let this set overnight and cut into squares.
