Mamaw Ethel'S Sour Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. cold water
    1 c. salt
    1 c. white vinegar
    cabbage, finely shredded
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except cabbage, together. Stir until well dissolved and then add 2 additional cups of cold water. Pack cabbage into jars (not too tightly). Pour liquid over cabbage and seal.
