Almond Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 angel food cake
    1 pt. milk
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    4 egg whites
    pinch of salt
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 pkg. Dream Whip
    toasted almonds or coconut
Preparation
    Make a\tcustard
    of
    milk,
    egg yolks, sugar, flour and salt in top
    of\ta
    double
    boiler.
    When done and while still hot, add gelatin
    which has been softened in cold water.
    Add almond extract.
    Whip
    Dream
    Whip as directed on package; set aside. Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Combine whipped topping, egg whites and custard.
    Break the cake into bite-size pieces into deep baking dish.
    Pour custard mixture over cake and let stand overnight.\tSeveral
    hours\tbefore serving, whip another package of Dream Whip
    and\tcover
    entire
    top of cake.
    Cover with toasted almonds or coconut.
