Southern Peanut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. coarsely chopped salted peanuts
    1 1/2 c. white corn syrup
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of nutmeg
    1 unbaked pie shell
    cream topping (optional)
Preparation
    Spread peanuts in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
    Mix thoroughly the corn syrup, slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Pour over the peanuts in the pie shell.
    Add a dash of nutmeg, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
