Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
6 whole cloves
6 juniper berries
1 (2 lb.) head red cabbage, finely shredded
2 Tbsp. dark molasses
salt and pepper
Preparation

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
Saute onion 3 minutes.
Add vinegar, sugar, cloves and juniper berries and bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Add cabbage.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until cabbage is tender and almost no liquid remains, stirring occasionally, about 40 minutes.
Mix in molasses.
Season with salt and pepper.
