Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Mix well all ingredients except egg whites.
    Place on stove; do not stir while cooking.
    Cook until candy forms a hard ball when tested in a cup of cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Beat constantly while adding stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Add vanilla and pecans.
    Beat.
    Drop quickly onto waxed paper.
