Three Layer Butter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour (plain)
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Butter should be softened at room temperature.
    Sift plain flour before measuring.
    Cream butter well.
    Add sugar; cream thoroughly.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat well after each addition.
    Slowly add flour and baking powder.
    Add milk and vanilla extract.
    Increase speed on mixer and beat for several minutes.
    Pour into well-greased layer pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0.
    Frost with your favorite frosting or jelly.
