Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Great Northern dried beans
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/4 lb. salt pork or fried bacon
    1 medium onion, sliced
Preparation
    Rinse beans and add 2 quarts cold water.
    Bring to boil, then simmer 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Cover.
    Let stand for 1 hour or add beans to water and soak overnight.
    Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to beans and soaking water.
    Cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour.
    Add sugar, mustard, molasses, pork or bacon, beans and onions into a casserole dish.
    Bake 5 to 7 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Add more liquid, if necessary.
    Serves 8.
