Granny Whatley'S Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3 c. sliced fresh or frozen peaches
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup butter in baking dish.
    Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar and pour into baking dish.
    Mix 1 cup sugar, baking powder, flour and salt.
    Add milk and stir for batter.
    Pour batter over peaches.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
