Ingredients

1 c. rice
3/4 c. raisins
pinch of salt
water
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put rice in top of double boiler (2-quart). Put water in, leaving 1-inch space to top of pan.
Cook over boiling water for 1 hour.
Water will be absorbed.
Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and spices.
Add this and raisins to rice.
Cook 15 more minutes over boiling water.
