Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 Tbsp. sugar substitute
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
nuts (if desired)
Preparation

In saucepan over medium heat, cook raisins, water, margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg until margarine is melted.
Continue cooking for 3 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Spread into an 8-inch square baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
Yield: 16 servings.
