Jack'S Crunchy Crispy Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 c. 3-minute grits
2 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1 Tbsp. melted shortening or cooking oil
1/2 c. cracklins (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add milk, egg, melted shortening or oil and mix well.
Pour into well-greased 6-inch square pan and bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Yield: 9 (2-inch) cornbread squares.
