Granny'S Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. or more pecans
Preparation
    Cream eggs, butter and sugar, then add flour and vanilla. Batter should be stiff.
    Add pecans.
    Pour in tube pan or loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown.
    Test with toothpick.
