Double Date Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. sliced dates
    1 1/2 tsp. butter
    2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a saucepan, mix sugar, water and cornstarch. Add dates and butter. Simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and vanilla.
    Serve hot or warm. Can be stored in refrigerator and reheated.
