Spicy Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. oil
1/4 c. flour
1 lb. shrimp
1 clove garlic
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. minced parsley
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. water
8 oz. can tomato sauce
10 oz. Ro-Tel tomatoes
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper (optional)

Preparation

Heat oil in heavy skillet over high heat. Add flour, stirring constantly, until brown. Reduce heat; stir in shrimp. Stir constantly 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, onion, parsley and pepper for 2 minutes. Gradually add water, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thick. Stir in tomato sauce, Ro-Tel, bay leaves and salt. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer; cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
